You
may think that
the idea of SEO
article marketing or sales copywriting takes the romantic edge off of
the idea of living the life of a writer. But, consider the
possibility of raking in $1000 or $2000 per week as a freelance
writer. Yes, at home, in your pajamas, if you like.
You will have to do some writing, of course. But, the possibility for earning some real money is there in this relatively new market for freelance writers. And, this is by the easiest market to get started writing in. It's new, therefore, there is not a lot of competition, particularly at the top.

SEO stands for "search engine optimization" and it involves writing articles that have a high number of specific keywords related to the subject at hand. These are the words that searchers would enter into a search field if they were looking for a certain kind of information.

instance, if I
have a website about making money writing
(which, I do) I would make frequent use of the words and phrases
"make money" and "writing." Typical SEO articles
are around 400 words. They are often submitted to directories or
used as unique content on a niche website to gain search engine
ranking.
Whenever a large percentage of keywords are used, it increases search engine traffic. It is a technique of internet marketing - a growing industry. It is growing because more and more people are searching for information on the internet and because advertisers understand that internet marketing is a cheaper and more effective means of reaching a target audience for their products.
SEO article writing is a modern form of copywriting. You can charge between $25 and $100 per 400 to 600 word article depending on the subject matter.
